Five board members from Brand USA received termination notices via email on Friday. The firings occurred on instruction from the White House. One source shared, “Trump is turning over the board.”
The relieved members include Chair Elliott Ferguson CEO of Destination DC; and Vice Chair Lauren Bailey, CEO of Upward Projects; Kristen Esposito, principal of Esposito Global Partners; Secretary Allen Orr, founder of Orr Immigration Law; and Tim Mapes, chief marketing and communications officer at Delta Air Lines.
Board appointments involve the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, alongside other officials.
