A tentative agreement has been reached between Air Canada and its flight attendants, addressing the contract dispute.

CUPE represents over 10,000 flight attendants and will present the deal for ratification. The key issue included pay for work performed while planes are on the ground, with CUPE stating “unpaid work is over.”

Air Canada confirmed the deal and anticipates gradual flight restoration beginning Tuesday evening. The airline said customers may experience delays in service restoration, with support options provided by the airline.

Michael Rousseau shared, “Everyone at Air Canada is doing everything possible to enable them to travel soon. The suspension of our service is extremely difficult for our customers. We deeply regret and apologise for the impact on them of this labour disruption.”
