V Ships Leisure will manage the technical operations of Aurora Expeditions’ new expedition vessel, Douglas Mawson, which was delivered from SunStone in China.
CEO Per Bjorsen expressed enthusiasm for adding the Douglas Mawson to the fleet and supporting the growth of Aurora Expeditions.
The vessel is the final one in a series of Infinity-class ships and will commence operations later this year in Antarctica.
V Ships Leisure will handle crew management and port operations from their offices in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale.
This addition expands V Ships Leisure’s expedition cruise portfolio, which includes management services for notable brands like Swan Hellenic and Quark. V Ships also recently won the Marella management contract.:
