Lodge at Ashford named Ireland’s best hotel by US readers of Condé Nast

The Lodge at Ashford Castle in Co. Mayo was ranked Ireland’s top hotel in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

Over 750,000 readers voted in the 2025 Awards, rating their favourite travel experiences globally.

Located on the 350-acre Ashford Castle Estate, the Lodge offers 64 rooms, modern amenities, and activities like falconry, golf, and archery.

Part of Red Carnation Hotels, the property marked its 10th anniversary since reopening in 2015 with the new Éalú leisure complex.

The Lodge, originally built in 1865, overlooks Lough Corrib and provides exceptional hospitality.

The 2025 Awards reflect guest appreciation for the staff’s dedication and the estate’s historic charm. The top twelve hotels in ireland voted by US readers were:
