iThe USA hosted 34,898 visitors from Ireland in May, down 12.1pc on may 2025 and down 21.3pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 477,991, down slightly 1.1pc on the twelve months to May 2025.
The decline follows drops of -5.8 in January, -9.8 in February, an increase of +16.4 in March and a decline of -20.5 in April
Visits from France are down -16.8pc, while Germany is down 10.1pc and Britain down 6.4pc. Non-US citizen air arrivals to the US totalled 4.5 million in May, down 4.5pc year on year. Overseas visitor arrivals reached 2.8 million. Europe recorded 7.5 million passengers between the US and other countries.
