AE Expeditions unveils 2028 northern hemisphere season with seven cultural itineraries

AE Expeditions has opened its Northern Hemisphere 2028 season for bookings, introducing seven all-new Cultural Expeditions alongside 16 Polar and six Discovery voyages across 20 countries and territories. The season, sailing aboard the purpose-built small ships Douglas Mawson and Sylvia Earle, visits 161 unique ports across the Arctic, Europe and Central America, with the Cultural Expeditions representing a new chapter beyond the company’s polar heritage.

The inaugural Cultural Expedition programme features itineraries including The Isles of the British Isles, an 11-day London to Dublin voyage exploring Sark, the Isles of Scilly, Lundy, Anglesey, the Isle of Man, Mull, Skye and Rathlin Island. Valletta to Lisbon: The Mediterranean: Beyond the Icons offers a 15-day journey through Sicily’s Valley of the Temples, Palermo, Sardinia, Tangier and Portugal’s Algarve. A Northern Saga travels from Amsterdam to Bergen over 14 days, covering Viking heritage, Hanseatic cities, Berlin, Copenhagen and Oslo before fjord exploration. Additional voyages include Forever Irish, The Cross and the Crescent Moon, Storied Shores of the Mediterranean and Coasting the Atlantic.

The 2028 Polar programme includes Norwegian Fjords & Svalbard Explorer and Wild Greenland: An Active Arctic Expedition, alongside returning favourites Jewels of the Arctic and Northwest Passage. Your Choice Inclusive Experiences allow travellers to select small-group activities across 37 Cultural Enrichment and 46 Discovery Immersive themes, including Local Flavours, Art & Artisans, UNESCO sites, Active Explorers and Wildlife & Natural Wonders. The season offers savings up to 25 pc on selected voyages when booked and deposited by 31st October 2026, with pricing from £9,356 per person twin share.
