Aer Lingus has announced its largest ever pilot recruitment drive with over 100 direct entry pilot positions available at its home base in Dublin Airport. It said pilots would be flying Airbus A320/1 and Airbus A330 to over 100 destinations across British, Europe and North American routes. In all, the airline aims to recruit more than 200 pilots over the next three years.
The fleet is also expanding as Aer Lingus is due to take delivery of eight new Airbus A321 Neo Long Range aircraft in the next few years as well as a new Airbus A330 aircraft by the end of 2017. It’s become a sellers’ market for pilots with airlines, including Ryanair, Norwegian and Far Eastern carriers vying to snap up talent.
