Vietnam has emerged as a top regional destination due to expanded visa-free access and increased flight routes. Accommodation search growth from the Philippines to Vietnam reached 98pc, from Singapore reached 52pc, from Malaysia reached 40pc, from Thailand reached 24pc, from Laos reached 22pc, from Cambodia reached 22pc and from Indonesia reached 20pc. Malaysia saw 24pc growth from Cambodia while Indonesia saw 18pc growth from Malaysia and 17pc from Singapore.

Budget remains a priority with high demand for affordable accommodation priced below $50 a night. Growth has been further spurred by regional initiatives like the August 2026 SEABlings: Closer Than You Think campaign and Tourism Malaysia’s Visit Malaysia 2026 promotions.
