- Air France to open largest overseas lounge at JFK New Terminal One
- Lounge spans 29,000 square feet across two floors
- Seats more than 400 guests across dining and work areas
- Air France moves JFK operation to New Terminal One in 2027
- Four daily JFK flights feature updated La Première cabin
Air France has revealed plans to move its entire New York JFK operation to the New Terminal One in 2027, pairing the relocation with the opening of a 29,000-square-foot lounge that will be the largest in its international network. The commitment brings one of JFK’s busiest long-haul airlines into the new $9.5bn terminal as the airport replaces an aging patchwork of facilities with a purpose-built home for international traffic. Air France has served New York for 80 years and currently operates as many as six daily JFK flights and two Newark services during the summer.
The lounge will occupy two floors with 29,000 square feet, enough to seat more than 400 guests across dining, relaxation and work areas. French wines and champagnes will be served at the bar, while separate rooms will be available for beauty treatments and rest. La Première passengers will have their own private
Section with exclusive dining service and a menu from a French chef whom Air France has not named. Flying Blue Ultimate members will also have a reserved area, giving first-class travellers and the airline’s highest frequent-flyer tier separate spaces within the main two-level lounge.
Access will be available to La Première and Business Class passengers, Flying Blue Elite Plus members and eligible travellers departing with KLM or another SkyTeam partner. Four of the airline’s daily JFK flights to Paris are scheduled with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft carrying the updated La Première cabin. The New Terminal One forms the largest single component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19bn reconstruction of JFK, with a $9.5bn capital commitment exclusively for Terminal One.
Nicolas Henin, Air France-KLM’s Senior Vice President for North America, shared: “New York is one of Air France’s most important and iconic markets.”
