Air Mauritius expands fleet for Gatwick flights

Air Mauritius has joined forces with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority to promote non-stop flights between London Gatwick and Port Louis. The carrier operates up to five weekly flights on the route. The airline adds three additional A350s to its fleet with the first due in December.

Business class seating increases from 28 to 32 seats on the aircraft. Air Mauritius moved operations to Gatwick in 2023 from London Heathrow. The fleet currently comprises four Airbus A350-900s two Airbus A330-900neos two Airbus A330-200s and four ATR72s.

Laurent Recora serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Air Mauritius. Dinesh Burrenchobay serves as Chairman of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority. The airline marks 60 years of operations next year.

Laurent Recora shared “Gatwick is working very well for us. We may not be the largest airline or serve every destination but we understand our market deeply.”
