AmaWaterways unveils new double width river cruise ship for Danube

AmaWaterways has revealed first details and renderings of AmaRudi. This vessel will become Europe’s largest river cruise ship upon debut on the Danube. The design introduces enhanced capacity and facilities for guests. 

The vessel will become Europe’s largest river cruise ship upon debut on the Danube River in spring 2027. The design builds on the AmaMagna with capacity for 196 guests in 98 staterooms and suites.

The ship introduces multiple culinary venues including The Journey’s Restaurant The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant al fresco dining Rudi’s Wine Bar and a built in Deck Club barbecue. The Sun Deck features a full sized pickleball court. Guests gain access to a wellness area with massage treatment rooms fitness centre and relaxation spaces.

The ship represents an expansion of the line’s fleet with a focus on the popular European river cruising market. It will offer new itineraries and elevated onboard experiences. Bookings are anticipated to open soon for the upcoming season. 

The AmaRudi incorporates advanced Stage V engines solar panels shore power connectivity and lightweight construction materials. It debuts a new entertainment concept with a cinema karaoke billiards and a jebox. The vessel honours co founder Rudi Schreiner.
