Bermuda Tourism names Jan Hutton as new CEO

Bermuda Tourism Authority has appointed Jan Hutton as its new CEO and is advancing its visitor economy strategy. She joins on 1 July 2026 after a transition period where Erin Wright served as acting CEO. Hutton brings experience from roles in Australia, Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

She most recently held the position of CEO at the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse. Her previous work included positions at Ogilvy Group, Nielsen Company, Deloitte Consulting, South African Tourism, Destination Gold Coast and Destination NSW. The BTA Board confirmed her selection based on expertise in destination marketing and digital transformation.

Bermuda tourism continues to focus on hotel development, airlift expansion and investment in experiences. Officials revealed plans to strengthen marketing in the Northeastern United States market. Hutton confirmed she will begin with a period of listening to stakeholders.

William “Billy” Griffith shared “Ms. Hutton joins the BTA at a critical time when new foundations are being laid in our visitor economy. She brings a wealth of experience in destination marketing, digital transformation, and visitor economy strategy across three continents.”

Jan Hutton shared “Global destination marketing has entered the most transformative period any of us have seen. I’m genuinely honored to be joining the BTA, and I don’t take lightly the responsibility that comes with this role.”
