Caravan Hatta by Our Habitas has opened in the UAE’s Hajar Mountains. The retreat overlooks Hatta Dam and offers wellness experiences, stargazing and open-fire cooking. The development reflects growing interest in nature-focused accommodation options in the region. The retreat opened on 28 September 2026.
The retreat features 50 bespoke Airstream caravans designed to blend retro-metallic style with bohemian interiors that nod to traditional Emirati nomadic heritage. Ridge Caravans feature a 20.5-square-metre interior and a 30-square-metre private outdoor terrace positioned for valley and lake views. Peak Caravans are slightly larger at 21.5 square metres, featuring an 18.8-square-metre outdoor living deck complete with a shaded pergola.
Every caravan is fully self-contained, equipped with a queen bed, custom regional bathroom amenities, a pantry, a small dinette, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The Infinity Pool provides a central mountain-facing pool with sunset lounge areas. The Observatory Deck is a dedicated stargazing platform built to optimise the region’s clear night skies. Thuraya Wellness features an outdoor wellness enclave with a signature barrel sauna, an outdoor hot tub, a cold plunge, and open-air yoga and meditation spaces. Madar restaurant focuses on community gathering with Emirati-influenced dishes prepared utilising open-fire and underground cooking techniques.
