CarTrawler has agreed to join Expedia Group and the acquisition has advanced the strategy to build a complete B2B travel platform. The Dublin-headquartered company has provided B2B technology for car rental, ground transport and Insurtech solutions. CarTrawler has connected 550 plus car rental suppliers and 500 plus mobility providers with more than 300 leading travel brands.
The company has expanded its global footprint through demand for high-margin ancillary solutions and proprietary technology. Expedia Group has acquired CarTrawler to extend its B2B capabilities into car rentals, ground transport and Insurtech. The businesses have planned to unlock opportunities for supply partners, B2B partners and travellers.
