Castlemartyr Resort has been preparing to host the Art and Soul exhibition featuring over 350 works of art and sculpture. The event organised by Gormleys runs from 1 June to 28 June and opens to the public daily from 11am to 7pm. It includes a major outdoor display of over 100 large sculptures across the 220-acre grounds of the 18th-century estate.
The exhibition presents works by international artists such as Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, Banksy and Tracey Emin alongside Irish artists including John Redmond, Peter Monaghan and Jenny Belton. A highlight is The Unicorn, a large-scale sculpture by Dalí. New works appear from Irish sculptors Liam O’Neill, Eamonn Ceannt and Ian Pollock.
The event marks the fourteenth major art show hosted by Gormleys and the fourth time at Castlemartyr. Castlemartyr Resort offers special overnight rates and packages that include Champagne afternoon tea together with artists’ talks and guided tours.
