Ballycastle’s Salthouse Hotel opens new sea salt spa

The Salthouse Hotel has opened its new Salt Spa. The £5 million addition completes the final phase of its transformation. The development created 30 new jobs on the North Coast.

The luxury spa integrates views across the Atlantic Ocean, Rathlin Island, Fair Head and the Glens of Antrim. Outdoor facilities include a heated infinity pool, two Scandinavian-style cabin saunas and four copper seaweed mineral bathing tubs. The indoor thermal suite features a vitality hydrotherapy pool, steam room, sanarium and Himalayan salt room.

The hotel operates on self-sustaining renewable energy from a 225kW wind turbine and a 150kW solar array. Thermal spa access applies automatically for overnight guests in main rooms and sea-view suites. Day packages remain available for visitors.
