Delta Air Lines has been planning new seasonal nonstop services to Europe for next summer. Flights between Boston and Venice will operate four times weekly from 7 May 2027 through late October on an Airbus A330-300. Detroit will gain three-times-weekly service to Athens starting 8 June 2027, also running into late October on an A330-200. These routes join previously announced Austin-Paris flights and expansions of existing seasonal services, giving more US gateways direct access to popular Italian and Greek destinations.
Delta Air Lines officially revealed its transatlantic expansion plans for the summer 2027 season, introducing new nonstop routes between Boston and Venice as well as Detroit and Athens. These routes complement Delta’s previously revealed Austin-to-Paris service, which is also set to debut in 2027. Boston to Venice service will begin on 7 May 2027, and run through 29 October 2027. The flights will operate four times weekly using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Detroit to Athens service launches on 8 June 2027, and runs through 28 October 2027. Flights will operate three times weekly on an Airbus A330-200. This marks the first time that travellers from Detroit will have direct, nonstop access to Greece. Both routes feature multi-cabin configurations including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin options. These additions are part of a broader strategy by Delta Air Lines to extend its shoulder seasons, bringing back several existing seasonal routes to destinations like Rome, Copenhagen and Barcelona much earlier in the spring.
