Dublin by Night Fest 2026 took over Dublin city centre last night (Saturday, 7 November 2026) from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, officially kicking off the Winter in Dublin programme. The free, family-friendly event celebrated the capital’s Purple Flag status for safe, vibrant nightlife, expanding this year to include Parliament Street and Bernardo Square alongside Capel Street, Dame Street, and College Green.
- Organisers & Purpose: Jointly run by DublinTown, Dublin City Council, and Fáilte Ireland (with support from An Garda Síochána), the fourth edition of the festival featured more than 30 participating city-centre businesses.
- Capel Street: Hosted two live stages, including the Dublin Nights Together Stage featuring acts such as Alky, Hannah Mc Connell, The Wu, and Delush, alongside acoustic sets and samba performances.
- Dame Street & College Green: Featured traditional Irish bands and dancers, aerial circus performers, drag artists, live graffiti, and food demonstrations—including cheesecake demos by Bewley’s and tacos from El Grito.
- Parliament Street & Bernardo Square: Added to the festival footprint for the first time in 2026, Parliament Street hosted GAYLI (a fusion of Irish dance and drag) and DJ Colin Devine, while Bernardo Square featured a dedicated Busker Stage.
While Dublin by Night Fest was a one-night street celebration, several major Dublin festivals continue today (Sunday, 8 November 2026) and throughout the month: Dublin Book Festival wraps up today at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and venues across the city with author talks, walking tours, and free family programming. Beta Festival runs through 22 November at The Digital Hub in The Liberties, showcasing art, technology, and local creative networks.
Winter in Dublin Programme continues across the city centre with seasonal lights, craft workshops, and evening cultural events.
Dublin is alive with the energy of the Dublin by Night Fest, which recently lit up the city center as part of the official kickoff for Winter in Dublin.
