TUI is to fly to Dalaman in Turkey and Paphos in Cyprus direct from Dublin as part of its Summer 2019 programme, which goes on sale on Thursday, April 5.
TUI said the new destinations are being added along with additional flights to six existing destinations, bringing a greater choice of 10 and 11-night stays, as well as traditional week-long and fortnightly holidays.
Cyprus, which fell from highs of 70,000 to 6,000 in recent years, has seen a comeback, with other services from both Cobalt Airways and Ryanair for this year. Ryanair also surprised the industry with the announcement of direct flights from Dublin to Dalaman this year.

Dalaman, known as Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, is popular with Europeans, but not as well known by the Irish, who flock to Kusadasi, 150 miles to the northwest.
The area, close to Rhodes in Greece, offers resorts including Marmaris and Olu Deniz. TUI’s brands there include a Holiday Village, TUI Family Life, TUI Sensatori and TUI Blue.
Belinda Vazquez, Director of TUI Ireland, said the programme shows “ambitious growth and even greater choice for Irish holidaymakers. We are focusing firmly on growing our amazing range of holidays through an extended flying programme, concentrated on the core destinations Irish holidaymakers want to travel to, while offering the flexibility of the holiday durations they want.
“This, on top of our already impressive range of destinations which include traditional beach resorts, our long-haul destination Cancun and our scenic European lakes & mountains range, we are predicting a strong interest in our summer 2019 programme.”
Charlotte Brenner, TUI Ireland Marketing Manager, said: “Summer 2019 with TUI will provide exceptional choice to Irish holidaymakers and we are delighted to once again expand our exclusive holiday concept range across our destinations. With over 80 concept hotels across 17 destinations including hotels from our Holiday Village, SplashWorld, TUI Family life, TUI Sensatori, TUI Sensimar, TUI Magic Life, TUI Blue & SuneoClub collections there is something to suit families, couples and adults alike. Thousands of free child places and low booking deposits will be available across our programme which is a great reason to secure your holiday early “
