EGYPTAIR receives first Airbus A350-900 from 16 on order

EGYPTAIR has taken delivery of its initial Airbus A350-900 becoming the launch operator for the type in North Africa with 15 more to follow for long-haul modernisation and new routes including US West Coast and North Asia from Cairo.

The aircraft features 30 Business Class suites and 310 Economy seats in a two-class layout with enhanced Airspace cabin for comfort plus Rolls-Royce engines and lightweight materials delivering 25pc better fuel efficiency and emissions. The A350 supports up to 50pc Sustainable Aviation Fuel with capability targets for 100pc by 2030. 

The main points cover first A350-900 delivery to EGYPTAIR, launch North African operator status, 16 total on order for fleet renewal, two-class configuration with premium suites, and efficiency gains including lower fuel burn and SAF compatibility.
