Emirates is to allow passengers to pay for access to its lounges at Dubai International airport.

Blue-tier entry-level Skywards members  can pay US$100 for four hours access to Emirates’ business class facilities, or US$200 to enter the carrier’s first class lounges.

Gold and Silver members already get complimentary access to Emirates’ business class lounges at Dubai. They can choose to upgrade to the first class facilities for a fee of US$100.

Passengers must be travelling on an Emirates flight to be eligible.

Emirates recently completed a US$11m renovation of its lounge at Concourse B of Dubai International.
