The Great Southern Killarney has achieved five-star status and unveiled a refreshed brand identity under the theme ‘Splendour, Untamed’. This follows significant investment in guestrooms, dining, event facilities and public spaces.

The new positioning honours the hotel’s 170-year heritage while embracing contemporary luxury and the wild beauty of Killarney and County Kerry. Curated experiences include guided foraging tours, photography walks in Killarney National Park and wellness activities.

The hotel completed extensive renovations across guestrooms and public spaces. The Scally Hotel Collection owns the property and repositioning highlights historic grandeur and connection to Killarney landscapes.

The hotel opened in 1854 as Ireland’s first purpose built railway hotel. New guest experiences include guided foraging tours and photography walks in Killarney National Park. Arbour restaurant serves seasonal dishes from County Kerry producers. Nightly rates start from €375.
