The 2025/26 storm season names have been chosen by Met Éireann, including Bram, Fionnuala, and Kasia. The initiative is a collaborative effort by Met Éireann, England’s Met Office, and KNMI.
The first storm of the season will be Amy. Over 10,000 names were received from the public, highlighting community engagement in the storm naming process.
Since 2015, forenames have been used to label storms to improve awareness of severe weather warnings.
