Imserso travel sales open for 2026/2027 season

Sales for Spain’s Imserso senior travel programme for the 2026/2027 season have opened as of Monday, 14 September 2026. The Institute of Older Adults and Social Services has dispatched nearly 3m accreditation letters containing personal 4-digit booking codes. The programme offers 879,213 available holiday spots to a record 4.6m accredited senior citizens.

Sales open in phases depending on region of residence and preferred or non-preferred accreditation status. Phase 1 covers Andalusia, Aragon, Castile and León, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Melilla, Navarre, and La Rioja. Phase 2 covers the rest of Spain including the Valencian Community, Catalonia, Balearic Islands, and Canary Islands. From 19 September, the system opens fully for any remaining places.

The first trip departures are scheduled to begin on 1 October 2026 with Oropesa serving as the inaugural destination. The allocation divides across mainland coastal tourism at 50.1pc of places, island coastal tourism at 25.9pc, and getaway short breaks at 23.9pc. A significant change is the end of in-person bookings at local town halls. General trip pricing ranges between approximately €132 and €564 depending on destination and duration.
