The name The name “Charlie Bird” for the New York restaurant is unrelated to the RTE personality of the same name and was inspired by the art and culture of downtown New York, particularly the 1950s, including music and graffiti art. According to Chef Ryan Hardy. founder and CEO of Delicious Hospitality Group, which owns Charlie Bird restaurant, It was not a direct reference to jazz musician Charlie Parker, but rather a coincidence that “Bird” was a nickname of his that emerged from a graffiti art piece.
