During daytime hours, the spot functions as a coffee service point; in the evening, it shifts focus as the AquaDome’s lighting and shows change the atmosphere around the seating areas.

The menu splits between coffee service and cocktails. Morning offerings include espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and cold brew options, with some available through the Café Select programme or the Deluxe Beverage Package. As the day progresses, the selection moves to coffee-infused and tea-based drinks. Standout items feature the Espresso Martini made with Ketel One, a Coffee Mai Tai, and a Hibiscus Tea Punch. Zero-proof choices, such as coconut cold brew, provide non-alcoholic alternatives. A selection of shots exists, including a documented sequence of 15 distinct varieties that bartenders prepare on request, with further custom options available once that list concludes.

As regards the menu, guests can obtain items from the nearby AquaDome Market stalls, which supply dishes ranging from Greek to Asian, French, and American selections, and bring them to tables or high-top counters around the bar. Pairings align morning coffees with pastries or light bites from the market, while evening cocktails accompany heartier options such as crepes or savoury plates from the food hall stands.

Rye & Bean debuted on Icon of the Seas and appears on subsequent Icon-class vessels, including Star of the Seas. Each installation follows the same format inside the AquaDome on Deck 15, with minor adjustments to surrounding layout based on ship-specific design choices. The bar remains exclusive to this class and does not feature on earlier Royal Caribbean vessels.

On Legend of the Seas, Rye & Bean provides a sequence of service that matches the AquaDome’s coffee for early risers and pre-show visitors, transitioning to cocktails during performances and later into the night. The location allows guests to watch the ocean or theater activity while ordering, with bar staff preparing drinks directly in view of the counter. Hours typically run from morning through late evening, adjusting for sea days and port calls.
