Lir Executive Chauffeur Service in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, has launched a private golf day in Dublin with Philip Walton, who won the match that clinched the 1995 Ryder Cup for Europe. The day is designed for groups of up to six and can be booked through the company’s website.
The day starts with a meet and greet at arrivals. A Lir chauffeur drives the group to a links course in the Dublin area where Philip joins them for a round of golf. He gives tips before they tee off and there is a par 3 challenge for anyone who fancies beating him.
Lunch in the clubhouse follows along with stories from his career. All transfers are included. Walton beat Jay Haas on the final green at Oak Hill in 1995. Places are limited and dates depend on his schedule.
Alan McLoughlin shared “Philip won that match at Oak Hill and he is great company on the course. Our part is offering a luxury experience and a chance for an unforgettable day out.”
Philip shared “People always want to know what it was like on that last green. I’m always happy to share the story all these years on, and a round of golf is the best place to do it.”
