Lufthansa has opened a status match opportunity for elite members of British Airways Club Iberia Club and ITA Airways Volare to gain equivalent Miles & More tier levels without flying with the Lufthansa Group. Applicants with qualifying status can match to Frequent Traveller for lounge access perks or Senator for broader Star Alliance Gold benefits including global lounge entry though HON Circle remains unavailable. A one-off fee of €99 applies for British Airways and Iberia matches while ITA matches incur no charge and the offer extends existing Miles & More status to February 2027 for prior members.
The key points feature eligibility for BA Iberia and ITA elite holders, match to Frequent Traveller or Senator tiers, €99 fee for most applicants, access to Lufthansa and Star Alliance lounges, and validity through February 2027 with online applications.
Lufthansa shared in a written statement “Travellers holding elite status with British Airways Iberia or ITA Airways are invited to apply for an equivalent Lufthansa tier level granted without having to take a single Lufthansa Group flight”.
