- Lufthansa resumes selected Middle East routes
- Frankfurt to Amman daily service starts 25 October

Lufthansa Group has revealed a gradual resumption of selected Middle East routes following safety and security assessments amid regional geopolitical developments. The airline group is restoring services across several brands including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Eurowings to core destinations including Dubai, Riyadh, Amman, Tel Aviv and Beirut. Four of the group’s airlines will scale up to 36 weekly flights to Dubai starting in late October 2026.
Lufthansa restarts Munich to Dubai on 25 October 2026 and Frankfurt to Dubai on 26 October 2026 with up to five weekly flights per route. SWISS commences daily flights from Zurich to Dubai on 27 October 2026. Eurowings launches daily flights from Berlin on 1 November 2026, four weekly flights from Stuttgart on 1 November 2026 and three weekly flights from Cologne-Bonn on 3 November 2026. Austrian Airlines begins offering up to five weekly flights between Vienna and Dubai on 12 December 2026.
Lufthansa resumed its Frankfurt to Riyadh service three times a week on 10 September 2026. Austrian Airlines will resume Vienna to Amman flights three times weekly starting 2 October 2026 followed by Lufthansa’s daily Frankfurt to Amman service starting 25 October 2026. Tel Aviv regular operations have already been rebuilt scaling back up to 54 weekly flights across Lufthansa, Austrian, Eurowings, SWISS and Brussels Airlines. Eurowings resumed select Beirut services as early as July 2026. As a precaution due to the situation in Iraq, Eurowings has suspended Erbil flights through 24 October 2026.
