
Malaysia Aviation Group is planning three major widebody aircraft campaigns aimed at meeting its needs through the 2040s, as stated by managing director Izham Ismail.
Key decisions to be made include whether to exercise options on an existing A330-900N order and the potential placement of a second long-range aircraft order.
Deliveries for the order of twenty A330-900Ns, with three already received, are currently underway, with seven more anticipated within the year.
The third campaign focuses on renewing the MASkargo fleet due to aging A330-200Fs, with Ismail stating,
Izham Ismail shared “The current cargo fleet has aged considerably, 12-15 years. It’s tough, because from 2031 onwards the slot availability is limited.”
