Mallorca has announced plans to limit cruise ship passengers to combat overtourism with daily berths reduced from 8,500 to 7,500 between June and September starting from 2027 to 2029.
The measure aims to ease pressure on the popular Balearic Island destination during peak summer months. Authorities introduced the restrictions as part of broader sustainability initiatives for the island’s tourism sector.
