The Margaritaville at Sea cruise ship recently completed sea trials after undergoing a major conversion at the Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast.

The vessel, originally built in 2000 as the Costa Atlantica for Costa Cruises, will now reposition to North America to offer four- and five-night cruises to the Western Caribbean and Florida starting in June.
The Margaritaville at Sea Islander will also offer six- and seven-night cruises to different parts of the Caribbean in 2025, including destinations in Belize, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman.
The ship’s conversion project includes updates to staterooms, features, and public areas, with newly added attractions such as the three-story poolside LandShark Bar at Sea and popular Margaritaville dining options.
The Islander’s 1,100 staterooms are being fully redesigned with custom styling inspired by the beach, sea, and sky, along with Margaritaville’s signature bedding and furnishings.
The cruise ship is scheduled to offer year-round itineraries with visits to Key West, Cozumel, Puerto Progreso, and one or two days at sea, providing a variety of Caribbean experiences for guests.
