Marks and Spencer has confirmed that its revamped and expanded Foodhall at the Belfast International Airport site will officially reopen on 8 October 2026. The store closed on 1 August for a 50pc increase in floorspace into the neighbouring service station unit. The store is doubling its total footprint adding nearly 200 square metres of retail floor space.

Available items will increase from 2,435 lines to roughly 4,900 lines including an expanded bakery preparation area and upgraded coffee facilities. A frozen food range will be available for the first time. The project adds up to 25 new full-time and part-time staff positions to the location.

The store sits along Airport Road serving the Aldergrove airport hub. The layout changes involved reconfiguring the neighbouring food court area. One of the existing food counters was removed to allow for the M&S extension while retaining an enlarged café and a Burger King unit next door.
