Concept plans for a third terminal at Dublin Airport been submitted to Fingal County Council by Ulick McEvaddy’s DA Terminal 3 Ltd aim to change the “front door” of the airport.

Approaches to the airport will be directed to the Ashbounre Road (N2) rather than the current M1 and M2 Belfast to Dublin road.

The plans include a third terminal located between the two runways at the airport as part of the new Western Campus project, which includes a cargo terminal, hotel, car parking, and office space.

The firm emphasises sustainability and access as central elements of the plan for the new terminal

Current plans for Dublin Airport aim to increase passenger numbers to 40m by 2030, with further plans expected in 2027

The McEvaddy brothers, who own the land for the new terminal, have expressed readiness to collaborate with Dublin Airport-operator the DAA or any interested parties

DA Terminal 3 Ltd believes that current plans for increasing capacity at the airport are short-sighted and lack vision for the future, advocating for a new terminal to meet future needs and create an economic hub for Fingal and Dublin.
