TUI Cruises has reported damage to Mein Schiff 3 after a collision while leaving Bremerhaven on 25 October 2026. Storm Manja produced powerful wind gusts that pushed the ship sideways along the pier. The vessel side-swiped two moored container vessels.
The ship sustained multiple destroyed lifeboats and a reported 10 metre tear along the hull. No injuries were reported among more than 3,300 passengers and crew. The vessel returned to Columbuskaje for damage assessment.
The scheduled 20 day voyage to Spain and the Canary Islands was put on hold. Tugboats assisted the departure but could not compensate for the wind. TUI Cruises noted further information will follow.
TUI Cruises shared “According to our current information, there are no injuries. We will provide further information as soon as reliable findings are available.”
