Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve will begin welcoming double calls in late 2027, according to MSC Cruises’ published deployment plans. The private island destination in the Bahamas is undergoing an expansion project that includes a second berth for cruise ships.

The destination is expected to welcome two ships simultaneously for the first time on 16 November 2027, with MSC Seaside and MSC Grandiosa visiting together. Both vessels will arrive for overnight calls as part of cruises departing from Miami and Port Canaveral respectively. Fifteen additional double visits are scheduled through the end of 2027, with calls from MSC and Explora Journeys vessels.

On 19 December 2027, Ocean Cay will welcome MSC World America and MSC World Atlantic simultaneously. The 205,700-ton sister ships will bring more than 11,000 passengers and nearly 4,500 crew members to the island. Ocean Cay will gain additional dining venues, expanded relaxation areas and new beach concepts for families and adults in 2027, with Sandy Cay joining as an adjacent island complement in 2028.
