Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, the Ascent, is embarking on its first European voyage to explore the Mediterranean region, with visits planned to destinations in Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Turkey.
The Celebrity Ascent is scheduled to arrive in Barcelona on April 27, commencing its European season with a nine-night Italian Riviera and France itinerary, including stops at La Spezia, Florence, and Pisa in Italy.
Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, highlighted the opportunity for guests to experience the diverse region with the Ascent’s premium amenities, elevated dining and drink options, and captivating entertainment offerings.
The Ascent will offer a range of seven- to 12-night cruises exploring the Mediterranean, departing from various European ports such as Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), and Athens (Piraeus), allowing guests to explore destinations like Ephesus, Naples, Mykonos, and Santorini.
