Shannon Airport winter schedule will offer flights to Faro and Liverpool throughout the winter season for the first time.
Shannon will offer 200 extra flights during school holidays in October, Christmas, and Easter, facilitated by a third Ryanair-based aircraft that joined Shannon earlier this year. The winter schedule also features daily transatlantic flights to New York (JFK) and Boston.
Mary Considine, CEO of The Shannon Airport Group, says that from October 29, 2023, until March 30, 2024, the airport will offer 188 weekly flights to a total of 22 destinations in Britain, Europe, and the US. This schedule includes exciting choices for winter sun getaways, ski trips, city breaks, as well as US and European holiday options.
Ms Considine highlighted returning popular routes to Turin for skiing holidays and Gran Canaria for those seeking some winter sun. The increased frequency of flights during school terms demonstrates not only the demand for winter travel but also reflects the airport’s successful summer season.
Passengers can choose from a range of destinations for their winter getaway. Those looking for sunshine can opt for Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Malaga, and Alicante. Meanwhile, individuals and groups planning a city break have multiple weekly frequencies available to London, Edinburgh, Budapest, Turin, Wroclaw, Krakow, and Kaunas. Additionally, passengers have the option to fly to Paris Charles de Gaulle with Aer Lingus, the airport’s newest service.
