Landline, Sonoma County Airport and San Francisco International Airport have revealed a new Straight to Gate service starting on 17 November. The service is designed to streamline passenger transfers between the two airports.

The Landline Company, Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport and San Francisco International Airport have announced a new Straight to Gate coach service starting 17 November 2026. The programme allows North Bay travellers to check in, drop their luggage and clear TSA security screening directly at the Santa Rosa airport before boarding a secure luxury motorcoach. The bus then drives nonstop down Highway 101 and directly onto the airfield tarmac at SFO, dropping passengers straight inside the secure area at Gate A3 in the International Terminal. This eliminates the need to stand in a second security line at SFO.

Tickets cost $55 one-way for adults, while children 15 and under ride free with a paying adult. The service is available initially for travellers flying out of SFO on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways and United Airlines. There will be eight daily nonstop round trips. Coaches depart STS at 5:00, 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00 am, and 1:00, 3:00, 5:30 and 8:00 pm. Return trips from SFO run from approximately 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. The drive takes a little over two hours depending on traffic, and the coaches make no intermediate passenger stops. Checked bags are tagged at STS and automatically transferred to the connecting flight at SFO.
