€62 to USA: Norwegian Air says 737 MAX 8 can reduce Trans-Atlantic fares by 2017

In an interview with Business Insider, chief commercial officer Thomas Ramdahl claimed that it woould use 737 MAX 8 planes would make lower fares feasible from next year.

The airline’s Irish subsidiary has had its application for permission to fly form Cork and Shannon to Boston stalled by the Aemrican authoriities.

The 737-Max has also been ordered by Ryanair.

Thomas Ramdahl said “I can promise you that you will see transatlantic flights on the 737 Max next year and that’s when you will see the $69 fares.”
