
Norwegian Air reported an operating profit (EBIT) of €105m/1.25bn Norwegian crowns for the second quarter, exceeding expectations. The airline announced it would pay a dividend of 0.90 crowns per share for the first time.
CEO Geir Karlsen stated that the operating profit and margin were the second highest for this quarter and that passenger numbers were the highest since 2019. Norwegian retained its capacity outlook of 37,500m seat kilometres despite aircraft delivery delays impacting fleet availability.
The carrier experienced strong demand in June, achieving the highest passenger numbers and load factor since the pandemic.
