Oceania Marina has been charted by Ryder Cup Travel Services to serve as a floating premium hotel in Foynes for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in County Limerick.
The ship is scheduled for an all-encompassing “OceaniaNEXT” dry dock transformation in October 2026:, which will completely overhaul all 591 staterooms, add marble-finished bathrooms, and swap the original Artist Loft for a state-of-the-art Chef’s Studio. The ship is currently cruising on Baltic itineraries between Copenhagen and Stockholm.
Oceania Marina spans 240 meters in length and accommodates up to 1,230 golf fans across 615 luxury rooms and suites The ship will dock at Shannon Foynes Port along the River Shannon, positioned roughly 30 kilometers from the tournament grounds.
Packages start at €8,800 per person (€17,600 total for two guests sharing an entry-level windowless “inside stateroom”). Top-tier luxury suites with private teak verandas and dedicated concierges command far higher premium pricing.
The package includes official, high-demand tickets to the 2027 Ryder Cup tournament, land transfers between Foynes Port and Adare Manor, onboard all-inclusive hospitality, specialty dining, cocktail bars, and an onboard casino and leisure amenities designed for golf enthusiasts, including an upper-deck putting green. The vessel’s keel was laid down in Genoa in March 2009, launched out of the dry dock in February 2010 to begin structural outfitting, formally delivered on January 19, 2011 to Oceania Cruises by Fincantieri, christened at PortMiami by her official godmother, American entertainment personality Mary Hart on February 5.
Ownership shifted under the corporate umbrella of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in September 2014 following a $3bn acquisition. The ship completed an extensive bow-to-stern refurbishment in May 2024:, integrating three new dining venues including the wellness-focused Aquamar Kitchen.
