Plaza Premium Group has opened its first lounges at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, including the tenth space under its high-end Plaza Premium First concept. Both lounges are located near Gate 1 on the third floor of Concourse G and operate 24/7, reflecting Bangkok Suvarnabhumi’s lack of formal flight curfew. The Plaza Premium First lounge seats 51 guests with luxury shower suites, à la carte dining, and cocktails and premium international spirits from the signature AeroBar, along with dedicated quiet zones and relaxation areas with personalised concierge assistance.
The Plaza Premium Lounge offers nearly 600 sqm of space accommodating up to 98 guests, featuring live cooking stations showcasing Thai cuisine, shower facilities and zones for solo travellers, families and business passengers. Entry to the First lounge costs from THB 2,400 (£54) for up to two hours, with longer access of up to five hours available for THB 3,100 (£70). The core Plaza Premium Lounge entry costs from THB 1,750 (£39) for two hours, rising to THB 2,450 (£55) for a five-hour stay.
This Asia-Pacific expansion follows the group’s debut in Hong Kong nearly 30 years ago, now with more than 130 branded lounges in 30 countries. The Plaza Premium First concept debuted at Hong Kong International Airport in 2018, with subsequent locations including Kuala Lumpur, Vancouver, Jakarta, Phnom Penh, Macau and Dallas/Fort Worth. Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and has targeted a record 67.7m passengers during FY26, with a third runway opening in 2024 and continuing works on an eastern expansion project that will increase capacity by 15m passengers per year.
