Princess Cruises and Fincantieri have jointly decided to postpone the delivery of the Star Princess, a sister ship to the Sun Princess.
The adjusted delivery date is now set for September 26, 2025, resulting in the cancellation of nine inaugural sailings.
The new inaugural sailings will depart from Barcelona and include Mediterranean and transatlantic voyages before starting the ship’s first Caribbean season in Fort Lauderdale.
Guests impacted by the postponement have the option to rebook on another Princess cruise with future cruise and onboard credits, or to cancel and receive a full refund of the cruise fare, with travel agent commissions protected by Princess.
