Rome Fiumicino Airport has launched Move and Fly a new initiative by Aeroporti di Roma and ASI to integrate physical activity and wellness into the passenger journey. Running from 22 to 27 September 2026 the project has set up dedicated wellness micro-zones across the departures areas of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Passengers travelling through these terminals can access yoga and fitness stations designed for passengers looking to stretch practice yoga or squeeze in light fitness routines to unwind before boarding and mini golf courses offering a fun competitive distraction for travellers.

Each station is fully staffed by qualified instructors including English-speaking trainers who help guide passengers through activities and exercises tailored for travel well-being. Move and Fly places a distinct emphasis on younger flyers with the dynamic zones giving children a healthy outlet to expend energy before long flights. This initiative complements Fiumicino’s existing family amenities like the Leonardo da Vinci Airport Children’s Play Area located in Terminal 3’s Boarding Area E.

The pilot programme kicked off from 22 to 27 September 2026 serving as a framework for how the European hub intends to expand future health wellness and holistic passenger services.
