The company has sent a statement to selected passengers outlining options for those who cancel or move their booking to another date. The Oasis-class vessel has been scheduled to sail from Fort Lauderdale on a six-night cruise to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas.
The itinerary featured visits to Perfect Day CocoCay and Nassau in the Bahamas, as well as Falmouth in Jamaica. Royal Caribbean shared that it sought guests with flexible travel arrangements ahead of the sailing. The company offered a transfer to the October 11, 2026, cruise onboard the Allure of the Seas for those who received the statement.
The 5,552-passenger ship was to offer a similar itinerary on that date, sailing from Port Everglades for a six-night cruise to Jamaica and the Bahamas. Royal Caribbean confirmed that guests who opted to move their booking received a 100pc refund of the cruise fare for their current reservation. The company transferred the booking for the new cruise date to a similar cabin category at no cost and reimbursed any non-refundable, pre-purchased travel expenses incurred due to the change. Another option was cancelling the booking and receiving a 100pc refund, in addition to a 100pc Future Cruise Credit to book another Royal Caribbean sailing. The company refunded all amounts paid for the cruise and any additional services, while also reimbursing any non-refundable travel expenses incurred, including hotel and flight cancellation or transfer fees.
