Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas named at Florida’s Port Canavera

Meghan Trainor has inaugarated Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas in an official naming event onboard the ship in Port Canaveral, Florida.

The new Utopia of the Seas, delivered by Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in June, will enter service for Royal Caribbean on July 19, 2024.

This ship is part of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class, accommodating 5,714 guests, and will offer a year-round program of short cruises to the Bahamas.

The ceremony was attended by over 4,000 guests, including fans who won a competition to attend, Royal Caribbean crew members, and executives.

Trainor performed at the cruise ship’s open-air AquaTheater for the audience, marking the beginning of a three-night celebration and cruise.

Utopia of the Seas will offer a series of three-night weekend and four-night weekday itineraries visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau, Bahamas, featuring more than 40 dining, drink, and entertainment venues.

The itineraries for the Utopia of the Seas will mostly consist of three- and four-night cruises departing from Port Canaveral, with stops at Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The focus of the Utopia of the Seas will be on providing short cruises to the Bahamas with convenient departures from Port Canaveral and visits to popular destinations.
