Sagrada Família prepares Tower of Jesus Christ inauguration

The Sagrada Família has confirmed details for the blessing of the tower of Jesus Christ on 10 June 2026 and marks the centenary of Antoni Gaudí’s death. Pope Leo XIV leads the Solemn Mass at 19:30 followed by the external blessing. The Junta Constructora presented the schedule at a press conference inside the tower.

Over 4,000 people attend the Mass by invitation with additional viewing outside on Carrer de la Marina. The Sagrada Família donates 4,200 tickets through local parishes. Construction milestones include the cross installation on 20 February 2026.

Xavier Martínez outlined 31 commemoration events with a €3.2 million budget. Jordi Faulí described ongoing internal works and the lift installation. The programme runs until Christmas 2026.
