Saudia has placed an order for four incremental Boeing 777-200F freighters with the first delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 and the remaining three throughout 2027. The airline has already operated four B777-200Fs as part of its cargo fleet. The order has supported expansion of global presence and capabilities.
The addition has formed the first step in a new phase for Saudia Cargo. The carrier has operated additional aircraft on wet-lease including B747-400 variants and A330-300 P2F models. Saudia Cargo has aligned the move with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.
The airline has continued to evaluate use of the new freighters for growth or replacement of existing wet-leased capacity.
Loay Mashabi shared “This announcement represents a strategic milestone in Saudia Cargo’s journey, reflecting a long-term vision we initiated years ago to enhance our capabilities and expand our global presence.”
