Scotland highlights festival programme in lead in to Edinburgh fringe

Scotland is highlighting a range of festivals set to take place before the Edinburgh Fringe. Doof in the Park returns to Camperdown Park in Dundee on 4 July 2026. The Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival runs from 17 to 26 July with over 100 concerts. Discovery Festival takes place at Slessor Gardens in Dundee from 24 to 26 July.

The Pittenweem Arts Festival in Fife occurs from 1 to 8 August 2026. The Resident Edinburgh offers in room kitchens and central location for visitors. Four Points Flex by Sheraton Dundee sits above the railway station near festival sites.

These events provide alternatives to the main Fringe period with smaller crowds. The promotion encourages trips to Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife in July and early August. Accommodation options support multi day stays with local partnerships.
